Electronics & Communications Technician – Expert-Level, Quantico, VA

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is charged with establishing and maintaining a standardized, integrated, synchronized training and professional education program for the Department of Defense (DoD) CI Enterprise. The JCITA provides a full spectrum of joint and advanced counterintelligence training to DoD, which includes CI operations, CI collection, Cl investigations, Cl functional services, Cl analysis, and Cl cyber activities. JCITA is accredited under the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and adheres to COE standards.

JCITA offers in-residence courses, mobile training teams, webinars and seminars for professional development and distributed learning opportunities. All courses meet strict instructional design standards and include rigorous assessment of student performance during field exercises that mimic real-world operations. Developing and delivering these exercises requires resources with proven intelligence analytic and counterintelligence experience.

Expert Level

Qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years of experience managing communications equipment, providing hands‑on technical support, troubleshooting, system malfunctions, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring reliable performance of all electronic and communications asset management.
Responsibilities:
  • The Electronics and Communications Technician installs, operates, maintains, and repairs radio communications systems supporting the entire JCITA fleet.
  • The Technician ensures all communications equipment is fully operational and mission‑ready during local and field training exercises, providing hands‑on technical support to meet validated course requirements. This includes troubleshooting system malfunctions, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring reliable performance of all electronic and communications assets.
