As a Data Center Project Engineer, you will work with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing infinite capacity at lowest possible cost.
You will support the teams that build electrical and mechanical systems in Amazon Data Centers, be onsite at construction, interact daily with construction managers and stakeholders, and support fast, high‑quality delivery. You will own communication coordination with vendors, information workflow, and document management (RFIs, change orders, reports, schedule updates).
Key Job Responsibilities- Establish communication and coordination across general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams for a data center region
- Send region‑wide changes to construction trailer setup, testing procedures, or location access documents
- Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFIs, change orders, and create dashboards for regional leadership review
- Onboard new vendors for badging and orientation
- Update project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents
- Monitor delivery of owner‑furnished material to site
- Compile and store construction data from vendors
- Manage checklists, including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 1+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment
- Experience in data center engineering or operations
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience in construction or project management
- 2+ years of construction or project management experience

The base salary range for this position is $96,000.00 – $ USD annually for USA, VA, Louisa. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
