Job Description
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with Dev Ops experience to join our diverse team at the Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross‑functional Agile scrum team and will be responsible for integrating and troubleshooting deployed systems, working both locally and at deployment sites. The selected candidate will travel to multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites to participate in deployment and integration with external systems, performance testing, and DoD assessment/acceptance tests.
This position is on‑site.
Only Candidates with a TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance will be considered
The candidate should be willing to spend up to 50% of their time traveling and working at deployment sites. While not traveling, the candidate will participate in requirements gathering, deployment and testing of containerized systems running in Kubernetes, and assisting the Information Assurance team in maintaining security paperwork.
Required Qualifications- A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement
- Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user and systems administrator
- TS/SCI with current CI poly
- 3-5 years administering Linux or other UNIX-based systems
- 2 years administering AWS cloud systems
- 2 years working with Dev Ops or Dev Sec Ops teams in deploying and troubleshooting container‑based systems
- 3-5 years creating and maintaining shell scripts, including bash and Python
- 2 years administering Kubernetes (Red Hat Open Shift or another variant)
- Familiarity with Ni Fi
- Requirements management
- Maintaining systems documentation
- Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework and systems assessment and accreditation process
