Join our dynamic AWS team as a Data Center Technician. You'll perform server rack installations, hardware repair, network troubleshooting and respond to operational incidents. The role includes on‑call duties, scheduled maintenance, documentation, training and continual improvements. Work 24/7, travel across sites and lift up to 40 pounds. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
Key Job Responsibilities- Perform server rack installations and hardware break‑fix on components.
- Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents impacting service availability.
- Escalate incidents to senior technicians and management as needed.
- Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in on‑call duties, scheduled maintenance and change management.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives.
- Help train and onboard new team members.
- Regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in cramped and/or elevated locations.
- Bend, lift, stretch, and reach.
- Stand and walk up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
- Operate in a noisy environment.
- Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations (over or under 50 miles).
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training.
- Travel frequency varies based on business needs and facility status.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of network design, protocols, and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
- Experience working in a Data Center environment.
