Essential Duties:

• Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining VMware/ESXI software,
• Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
• Schedules installations, upgrades, and maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
• Monitors, tunes, and coordinates the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Ensures virtual workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
• Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
• Conducts routine hardware and software audits of VMware Infrastructure/Hardware to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines (e.g., DISA STIGs).
• Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments that are broad, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
• Has the ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
• Plans and leads major technology assignments.
• Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Five years of experience and applicable advance certifications for the specified areas
• At the government's discretion, years of experience may be substituted in lieu of certifications.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with end-users, Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time.

Work Environment:

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead waist level from floor), bending, frequent near-vision use for reading and computer use, and frequent fast-paced environment.
