Position: Writer / Editor

Description

RiVidium is seeking a Writer / Editor to support our planned MODES III team supporting Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). This role supports Outreach & Engagement Services and helps deliver mission-focused outcomes for service members, families, and related stakeholders. Drafts and edits strategic communications materials under PWS

C.5.2; ensures consistency, clarity, and measurable messaging outcomes. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, edit, and refine clear, audience-focused written content for digital and campaign use.
  • Ensure content is accurate, accessible, well-structured, and aligned to approved messaging.
  • Support content lifecycle activities including revisions, quality review, and publication readiness.
  • Coordinate with strategists, designers, and program stakeholders to deliver polished products.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant experience aligned to the role and labor category; openings may be filled at Mid (6-10 yrs).
  • Ability to satisfy applicable Government personnel security requirements for the assigned role and work with sensitive but unclassified information.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills in a mission-focused delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality digital, visual, written, or user-experience deliverables relevant to the role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting public sector, defense, or mission-focused digital communications programs.
  • Familiarity with audience analytics, user-centered design, accessibility, and content performance measurement.
  • Experience collaborating across content, design, stakeholder engagement, social media, and campaign teams.
Work Setting

This role is expected to support work in the Alexandria, Virginia area, with on-site support at the DoD Mark Center or other customer‑approved locations as required. Hybrid support in the Alexandria, Virginia area is expected, with on‑site support as required by the customer.
