We are seeking a talented and experienced network support technician to support the Aegis International Programs training team at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) in Dahlgren, VA.
- This individual will work with our government customer to maintain and update five electronic classrooms (ECRs) and three simulation labs.
- Provide training and troubleshooting support to the instructor staff for ECR issues. Ensures trouble tickets are submitted and follows up with ATRC staff to ensure issues are resolved quickly.
- Configure the Aegis Virtual Operator Trainer (AVOT) labs to support operator training. Install hard drives, initialize the system and ensure the lab will support training objectives. Secure the system and hard drives when training is complete.
- Research and order parts and materials for ECR upgrades or repairs. Determine cost‑effective solutions and provide recommendations to the customer.
- Create network solutions and build data and power cables to support lab expansions, upgrades, and repairs.
- US citizenship is required and candidate must have a final DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in Department of War (DoW) IT support environment
- Must meet Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification requirements and hold one of the baseline certifications:
CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CCNA Security, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) - Thorough understanding of military networking principles and design
- Thorough understanding of military computer system components and systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot computer and network problems within a DoW environment and rapidly restore system functions
- Familiarity with military procurement systems and the process of parts procurement
- US citizenship is required and candidate must have a final DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Familiarity with the US Navy training environment with an understanding of ECR usage and organization
- Graduate of an Aegis BL9 ACNT course
- Graduate of a US military network‑centric weapon system course
- Graduate of a US military instructor training course
- Experience operating Aegis training simulation systems such as AVOT, Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT), or Synthetic Combat Operator Trainer (SCOT)
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen and have a final DoD Secret Security Clearance. Clearance Level: Secret.
Work Schedule & BenefitsOnsite full‑time:
The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Non‑standard 40‑hour work week as assigned by leader. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees; schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week to condensed schedules, providing additional time away from the office in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
