Digital Identity Administrator (Info Technology Specialist II) – Laurel Ridge Community College
Job SummaryThe Digital Identity Administrator is responsible for designing and maintaining a robust identity governance framework that secures institutional data while facilitating seamless user access. The role leads efforts to audit and restructure the directory services infrastructure (Active Directory/Entra ) to support advanced automation and develop secure, automated provisioning workflows with core VCCS enterprise resource planning systems, ensuring compliance with FERPA, GLBA, and HIPAA.
Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain an identity governance framework.
- Audit and restructure AD and Entra for automation.
- Develop provisioning workflows linking to VCCS systems (SIS, AIS, Cardinal, WES) while ensuring FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA compliance.
- Configure Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Authenticator, and other security tools.
- Script in Power Shell to automate tasks and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide technical guidance on identity management.
- Experience designing RBAC models and translating business requirements into technical policies.
- Hands‑on configuration of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Authenticator.
- Strong proficiency in Power Shell for automation.
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory (AD DS) and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA).
- Experience with IAM platforms such as Rapid Identity and ITSM tools like Team Dynamix.
Salary range: $67,858 – $98,394 annually. Eligible for the Commonwealth of Virginia benefits package.
