Cyber Range Infrastructure Engineer
A well‑designed network is critical to move data and enable operational cyber units to achieve their missions. Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. We need an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network Air Force needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in networking and virtualization, with a strong focus on architecting, implementing, and optimizing highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions. You will bring proven experience troubleshooting complex systems, streamlining operations through automation, and enhancing overall performance and reliability using on‑premise technologies. You will leverage your specialized, functional, and broad industry knowledge to develop solutions addressing challenges of varying scope and complexity.
YouHave:
- 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, operating, or troubleshooting enterprise IT infrastructure, virtualized environments, or cyber range environments
- Experience administering Linux operating systems in enterprise or lab environments
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and network services
- Experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, KVM, Hyper‑V, or Nutanix
- Experience developing automation or scripting solutions using Python, Bash, or Power Shell
- Experience integrating hardware and software components into complex technical environments
- Ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, storage, and networking domains
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- IAT Level II or IAM Level I Certification
- Experience supporting Department of War cyber, intelligence, test, training, or operational environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
- Experience with Kubernetes, Open Shift, or containerized application environments
- Experience supporting large‑scale distributed infrastructure environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Sec Ops practices
- Experience supporting Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E), or exercise environments
- Experience with storage technologies including SAN, NAS, vSAN, or distributed storage architectures
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
