Prescient Edge is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist (OBI Analytic Efficiency Enablement) to support a Federal Government client.

- Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, using scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products, enabling more informed analytic decisions.
- Retrieve information from various sources, analyze it for better understanding, and build AI tools that automate certain processes.
- Create ML‑based tools or processes, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems.
- Perform statistical analysis, apply data mining techniques, and build high‑quality prediction systems; proficient in data visualization and use of graphical applications (Power BI, Tableau).
- Develop solutions in R or Python, with SQL experience, and manage disparate data sources.
- Provide incremental enhancements to tools, capabilities, processes, and methods.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data science expertise, ensuring tradecraft compliance and analytic standards.
- Advise on emerging data science methods, tools, algorithms, training, or requirements to advance analytic edge.
- Work with vendors and software developers to implement distributed algorithms for large and complex data sets.
- Support all‑source intelligence analysis and production through repeatable procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop best practices for system development, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct audits and develop a repository of audit findings and recommendations.
- Design and execute TEVV protocols to evaluate performance, robustness, and fairness of systems.
- Analyze and interpret performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and refine methodologies for evaluating system performance, robustness, and fairness.
- Support capability development by contributing, editing, and storing code in government‑owned version control repositories.
- Design, develop, and evaluate leading‑edge algorithmic intelligence concepts, practices, and technologies for OBI implementation.
- Propose advanced statistical or mathematical techniques and methodology for alternative identification and model formulation.
- Collaborate to refine exploratory efforts leveraging novel technologies (LLM, NLP, ML) to automate ontologies and ensure semantic accuracy.
- Evaluate analytic methods for risks, biases, and limitations.
- Develop data queries via GraphQL, SPARQL, SHACL, SQL for semantic data retrieval.
- Conduct independent research on analysis methods to keep abreast of state of the art.
- Investigate prototype technologies to improve all‑source intelligence analysis.
- Support semantic data retrieval and reasoning across knowledge graphs.
- Provide consultation on OBI governance and knowledge modeling best practices.
- Assist in translating technical documentation into tradecraft‑compliant language.
- Ensure compliance with tradecraft standards in OBI documentation and development.
- Collaborate on responsible AI development practices (bias detection, hallucination recognition, prompt fairness, security policies).
- Develop testing methodologies for system validation and evaluation using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
