RequiredMinimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four‑year college or university
- Business analysis, requirements gathering, document and data lifecycle management, and process improvement (≥7 years)
- Supporting ECM strategies and enterprise data practices in a government, investment or financial services environment (≥3 years)
- Excellent critical thinking, problem‑solving and strong attention to detail
- Creation of clear, structured technical documentation (e.g., requirements, process maps, data and document flows)
- Strong verbal and written communication; translate complex concepts into clear business terms
- Collaboration in cross‑functional teams
- Independent work; proactively identify and address improvement areas
- Process automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Reporting tools and dashboards for business insight and decision‑making support
- Understanding of investment, financial services or related business environment
Client team are the primary data stewards for the Investments Department. IDS connects data to investment analysis by overseeing all aspects of the data management life cycle. The team works closely with investment programs to understand their business data and decision support requirements, develop tools to extract valuable and timely information, and continuously improve processes and systems to ensure high levels of data integrity and availability.
The team seeks an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in business analysis, enterprise content management, requirements gathering and testing. This individual will evaluate current enterprise content management processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement technology‑driven strategies to support enterprise‑wide document governance and business performance.
- Partner with Investment stakeholders to evaluate current ECM practices; conduct interviews and analyze workflows to identify best practices, gaps, inefficiencies, legal and policy requirements, scope recommendations, improvement opportunities and risks.
- Elicit, analyze and document future state business and technical requirements related to ECM, data handling and system enhancements.
- Recommend standardized approaches for document intake, storage, retrieval, approval, versioning, classification and retention.
- Design and implement standardized workflows and governance frameworks for content organization, classification, retention and accessibility, including document libraries, metadata structures, taxonomy, content types, workflows, templates and security frameworks.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of investment systems, document repositories and data architecture, including data flows and system integrations.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation supporting file strategies, data flows, system processes and operational procedures.
- Develop and execute testing strategies to validate system changes, document workflows and process improvements.
- Support internal teams by developing job aids and conducting training on new technology and processes.
- Contribute to data analysis, reporting and document‑driven insights to inform decision‑making.
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and drive solutions.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects as directed by the IDS Research Director.
