Job Overview

Salesforce, the leading AI‑driven CRM, seeks a Tableau Technical Architect to join its Mission force team. The role involves designing and implementing Salesforce Analytics solutions, with a focus on Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud, and related APIs. The position is highly customer‑facing, typically requiring more than 70% on‑site engagement to drive enablement and adoption.

• Lead delivery of client engagements for designing and implementing Salesforce Analytics‑centered technical solutions, including scope, design, architecture, and client relationship management.
• Serve as an expert on Tableau Server and Cloud, integrating them with client data, authentication, and application operations.
• Deploy Tableau Server environments, create and execute deployment scripts and workflows, and leverage Tableau APIs for custom solutions.
• Maintain key client relationships, understand their Data & Analytics strategy, and identify opportunities to enable data‑driven decision making.
• Communicate, present, and articulate client recommendations with clarity and impact.
• Respond to customer needs, mitigate objections or product deficiencies, and handle escalations related to team and client work.
• Provide client enablement support, helping technical resources adopt ownership of solutions and drive utilization.
• Identify ways for Tableau Services to maximize client value and drive ROI.
• Manage customer expectations, negotiate solutions, and collaborate with Delivery Managers and Solution Architects.
• Travel to customer locations in support of sales and delivery efforts.

• 4+ years of experience in Technical Data & Analytics or a related field with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working with databases, data warehouses, business intelligence systems, and data analysis tools.
• Proficiency in SQL, SAML, network troubleshooting, and cloud computing (AWS/Azure).
• Experience architecting systems for high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and redundancy.
• Knowledge of security hardening and application development skills in Python and/or JavaScript (desirable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey qualitative and quantitative business cases.
• Team‑player mindset with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accurate assessment and clear communication.

• Tableau Server Certified Associate or Tableau Certified Architect;
  Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Certified Consultant.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing full life‑cycle Tableau Server implementations.

Base salary range: $172,500 – $260,100 annually (plus equity, benefits, and other incentives). In selected locations (e.g., California, New York, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Washington DC) the base range is $207,800 – $285,800.
