Cloud Engineer

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Cloud Engineer to work on a cross-functional team of developers, testers, and security engineers supporting large, mission critical, user-facing applications. This is an onsite role in Chantilly, VA.

• Work in an AWS environment to build, monitor, and sustain cutting edge applications and services produced by the team
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and monitor solutions using modern industry standard approaches and Dev Ops tools to harden applications, improve resiliency, reduce costs, and accelerate speed of delivery to mission customers

• Active TS/SCI with FS Poly

• Experience building infrastructure and sustaining applications in a cloud environment
• Experience writing cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Experience working with containers and associated technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Experience delivering and debugging applications written in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby running in Linux-based environments
• Experience delivering and maintaining relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, or document databases such as Elasticsearch or Solr, to include managed databases such as AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) or Open Search
• Experience developing monitoring and automation tools in languages such Python or Bash
• Experience using Git and working on cross-functional teams with Git-based workflows
• Experience working on cross-functional teams in an agile environment

• Experience with Terraform
