Network Install Technician, Infrastructure Delivery

Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual customer access to innovation.

• Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
• Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment.
• Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
• Follow established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities.
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
• Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project management.

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+.
• Knowledge of network cabling, optical types, and test equipment.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices.
• Experience handling medium to large, complex project scopes.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, JunOS, Linux, BGP, OSPF.

Locations include Virginia (Chantilly, Dulles, Haymarket, Manassas) with hourly pay ranging from $30.00 to $54.00 USD.
