Role Overview
The candidate will join a team of engineers responsible for engineering and implementing an enterprise Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Solution. The UEM solution shall be capable of managing all Windows and Bring Your Own Approved Device (BYOAD) endpoints. The team will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DAF to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.
What You Will DoThe responsibilities of the MECM Patching and Packaging Engineer include designing and implementing the MECM/Intune solution, ensuring the design is scalable to meet DAF needs/growth, establishing procedures based on industry best practices for routine and zero-day patch management, deploying applications and application updates, remediate issues related to failed patches or applications and conflicts related to patching, and creating documentation/SOPs for new procedures and manual steps to complete tasks for soft hand-offs and cross-training of support personnel.
Why It Might Be a FitThe ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience, including testing, deploying, and troubleshooting the installation of Microsoft and third-party software updates, building/deploying application packages in SCCM 2012/MECM Current Branch, managing a large MECM infrastructure, managing Windows Servers and Workstations, and experience working in a DoD environment.
Requirements- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Security + Certification or must meet 8570 compliance/IAT II compliance
- 10+ Years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience
- Experience testing, deploying, and troubleshooting the installation of Microsoft and third-party software updates
- Experience building/deploying application packages in SCCM 2012/MECM Current Branch
- Experience managing a large MECM infrastructure
- Experience managing Windows Servers and Workstations (mobile devices a plus)
- Experience with Adaptiva One Site/Client Health
- Experience working in a DoD environment
- Familiarity with STIG requirements
- Familiarity with ITILv4
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
- Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and Share Point
