Job Description SummaryWe are seeking an experienced People Soft HCM Architect with deep expertise in Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions and enterprise modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture, assessment, transformation, and modernization of People Soft HCM environments, helping organizations transition from legacy platforms to modern cloud-based architectures while maximizing business value and minimizing operational risk.
This role requires a combination of technical architecture leadership, business process transformation expertise, cloud modernization experience, and stakeholder engagement skills. The architect will work closely with business leaders, HR organizations, technical teams, and executive stakeholders to define modernization roadmaps, cloud migration strategies, and future-state architectures.

The candidate should have a proven track record leading enterprise-scale modernization efforts and delivering successful HR technology transformations.
- Serve as the lead architect for People Soft HCM solutions, including:
- Core HR
- Benefits Administration
- Payroll
- Workforce Administration
- Time and Labor
- Absence Management
- Talent Management
- Learning Management
- Compensation Management
- Define and maintain enterprise HCM architecture standards and best practices.
- Provide governance and oversight for People Soft application design, integrations, security, and data management.
- Lead assessments of existing People Soft HCM environments to identify technical debt, customization complexity, integration challenges, and modernization opportunities.
- Develop modernization roadmaps aligned with business objectives and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Define future-state architectures that leverage cloud-native services, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Evaluate modernization options including:
- Re-platforming
- SaaS transformation strategies
- Design cloud migration strategies for People Soft workloads.
- Lead migration planning and execution for:
- Develop high-availability, disaster recovery, security, and scalability architectures.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
- Design enterprise integration solutions connecting HCM systems with:
- ERP platforms
- Identity Management solutions
- Benefits providers
- Reporting and analytics platforms
- REST APIs
- Web Services
- Develop HCM data modernization approaches and governance frameworks.
- Lead data conversion, cleansing, and migration activities.
- Design reporting and analytics strategies leveraging:
- People Soft Query
- Oracle Analytics
- Power BI
- Enterprise Data Warehouses
- Cloud analytics platforms
- Partner with HR, payroll, finance, and business leadership teams to understand modernization objectives.
- Present architectural recommendations and transformation roadmaps to executive leadership.
- Facilitate workshops, architecture reviews, and solution design sessions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for HR technology strategy.
- Lead cross-functional teams including developers, administrators, business analysts, cloud engineers, and system integrators.
- Establish modernization governance processes and architecture review boards.
- Mentor technical staff and promote architecture best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience with People Soft HCM.
- 5+ years of architecture leadership experience.
- 5+ years of enterprise modernization or cloud transformation experience.
- Experience leading large-scale HCM transformation initiatives.
