Howyou’llmake an ImpactAs the Systems Engineer (SE) within the Dental Division, you will primarily focus on implementing, deploying, documenting, and supporting IT infrastructure designed by our Solution Architects for a client base of dental practices and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs). Strong customer relations and follow-up to ensure that service has been completed to customer'ssatisfaction area must.
You’llneed to be a team player, yet work well independently, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities include working with Project Managers (PMs) and Solution Architects to implement and deploy solutions for IT projects, as well as provide network administration for client support needs when necessary.
- This is a hybrid position that is 80% remote and 20% travel required to work onsite with clients.
- Candidates with proximity to one of our Centers of Excellence are preferred (Overland Park, KS; Shreveport, LA; McLean, VA).
- Deploy advanced technical solutions designed by Solution Architects, including but not limited to new deployments and service modifications, for dental practice and DSO clients
- Maintain minimum billable utilization of 80%.
- Provide excellent implementation and project support to customers remotely or onsite as needed.
- Execute complex migrations and configurations, including practice-management-system transitions, imaging system integrations, and multi-site DSO rollouts.
- Document migration and infrastructure changes and prepare for steady-state support post-implementation.
- Communicate clearly both internally and externally on the progress, issues, and scope changes needed on projects.
- Be able to pivot and provide solutions when plans change or do not meet the requirements of the project.
- Provide input and recommendations to Solution Architects and Project Managers to assist with project creation and planning.
- Design and build GPOs to enforce policies across organizations.
- Install and configure virtual machines and hosts.
- Build cloud and on-premises physical servers.
- Configure Azure AD and Microsoft Entra Connect to O365.
- Troubleshoot advanced applications and servers.
- Build and design networks, including network and firewall configurations, switch configurations, and wireless networks that meet the bandwidth and latency needs of dental imaging equipment (intraoral cameras, intraoral sensors, intraoral scanners, extraoral sensors such as CBCT/Pano/Ceph, and vitals monitors).
- Build and design Active Directory infrastructure following best practices and taking into consideration client needs (on-premises Active Directory as well as Azure AD).
