Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end to end supply chain operations within a meat manufacturing environment
. This role will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to drive efficiency, cost reduction, compliance, and continuous improvement.
IMPORTANT: Food manufacturing experience is a MUST, and candidates with meat manufacturing background will only be considered. Only 100% authentic profiles with verifiable meat processing experience should be submitted.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deploy long term supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead and optimize core supply chain functions including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and sales to align production schedules with demand forecasts.
- Coordinate cross functional communication across departments to ensure execution excellence.
- Oversee sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Monitor logistics and supply chain performance metrics; diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure strict compliance with applicable industry regulations and food safety standards.
- Build and maintain robust supplier relationships to support operational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost efficiency, material planning, and supply chain integration.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to supply chain teams.
- Partner with finance, quality assurance, and operations teams to optimize performance and cost outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in supply chain/logistics management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Food manufacturing experience is required - with SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE in MEAT MANUFACTURING.
- Demonstrated experience with supply chain planning, procurement, and logistics in a processing/manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, ERP systems, regulatory compliance, and quality standards relevant to food processing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making capabilities.
- Proven ability to implement strategy and achieve operational improvements.
- Experience with meat processing supply chain systems, forecasting, and raw material procurement.
- ERP experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
- History of managing supply chain in high volume food production environments.
