Overview

Sentara is hiring a Supply Chain Associate II in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

This is a Full-Time, rotating shift opportunity with generous benefits. The role is responsible for leading, managing, transforming, and developing the inventory and logistics of hospital locations that run on perpetual inventory (e.g., OR, Cath Lab). A clinical knowledge of the products involved is advantageous to perform the duties. Responsibilities include supply inventory management, record keeping, perpetual inventory handling, loss/waste mitigation and adjustment based on data, order fulfillment, and materials transportation.

The role will oversee and report on the perpetual inventory and its supply, primarily in critical care and intensive care units.

• Lead and manage inventory and logistics for hospital locations operating on perpetual inventory.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and perform perpetual inventory counts and adjustments based on data.
• Mitigate loss and waste; optimize order fulfillment and materials transportation.
• Oversee and report on perpetual inventory levels and supply, with focus on critical care and intensive care units.
• Build and optimize inventory and logistics infrastructure; manage vendor relationships and cycle counts where applicable.
• Provide data and information to leadership to facilitate decision making with ground-level insights.

• At least 2 years of experience in inventory and logistics management roles.
• Experience in optimization of inventory/logistics/materials management is highly preferred but not required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
