Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking a proactive and organised Junior Coordinator to join their Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with commercial office experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop within a project coordination role.
Working closely with the Operations, Sales, Purchasing and Supply Chain teams, you will play an important part in supporting the successful delivery of customer projects. This varied position offers excellent exposure across multiple business functions, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career within project and operational coordination.
The roleThis position is responsible for coordinating inventory, supplier activity and customer sales orders, helping to ensure projects run smoothly from initial planning through to completion. You will work with both internal teams and external suppliers, maintaining accurate project information and supporting the efficient flow of materials and orders.
Duties include- Monitoring programme inventory to ensure stock is allocated correctly
- Tracking and reporting monthly inventory usage and consumption
- Coordinating the movement of components into production kits
- Processing stock receipts and supporting inventory transactions
- Maintaining accurate project information on customer sales orders
- Liaising with international purchasing teams to resolve order allocation issues
- Expediting supplier purchase orders and following up on critical deliveries
- Reviewing and releasing sales orders where appropriate
- Obtaining and maintaining supplier quotations
- Monitoring inventory levels and working closely with Purchasing to ensure stock availability
- Supporting inventory planning and replenishment activities
- Providing general project coordination and operational support as required
- Undertaking additional ad hoc tasks to support the wider business
- Around two years’ experience within a commercial administration, customer service or office support role
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across different teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Experience using ERP, MRP or other business systems
- Previous exposure to purchasing, inventory management or sales order processing
