We’re seeking a Procurement Clerk to work at a leading organization in Richmond, VA. With us, it’s all about finding the job that’s just right.
Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $37-$41 an hour
Shift: 1st
Typical day- Negotiating with contractors on price, shipping methods, and delivery times.
- Ordering goods such as office supplies to maintain inventory levels.
- Entering data on inventory and orders into computer databases.
- Reviewing planned orders, creating requisitions, and managing the approval process.
- Transmitting approved purchase orders to suppliers and tracking acknowledgements.
- Tracking orders, confirming delivery dates and costs.
- Maintaining and closing purchase orders, ensuring adherence to agreements.
- Have 5 to 6 years experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations (must have).
- Are detail‑oriented and comfortable working with numbers and databases.
- Possess strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Are proficient in computer applications and inventory management systems.
- Can prioritize tasks and interface effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
