An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Export Coordinator to join a well-established freight and logistics business. This is a busy, hands-on role that would suit someone with previous Air Export experience who enjoys managing shipments from booking through to departure while delivering a high standard of customer service.
Working within a supportive operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating international air freight shipments, ensuring documentation is accurate, customs requirements are met and customers receive regular updates throughout the export process.
The Role- Manage Air Export shipments from booking through to final departure.
- Obtain competitive rates from airlines, hauliers and service providers.
- Arrange airline bookings and coordinate collections.
- Prepare and check export documentation, including MAWB and HAWB paperwork.
- Complete CDS export customs declarations.
- Produce manifests, pre-alerts and other shipping documentation.
- Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas offices and network partners.
- Monitor shipments and provide proactive status updates.
- Ensure shipments comply with airline, customs, security and, where applicable, Dangerous Goods regulations.
- Resolve operational issues and documentation queries efficiently.
- Check supplier costs and ensure shipment files are ready for invoicing.
- Maintain accurate records using Cargo Wise.
- Provide support to colleagues across the Air Export team as required.
- At least two years' experience in Air Export operations.
- Good understanding of the complete Air Export process from booking through to departure.
- Experience completing CDS export customs entries.
- Strong knowledge of Air Export documentation and airline procedures for both console and back-to-back shipments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple time-sensitive shipments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience using Cargo Wise.
- Dangerous Goods (DG) by Air certification or training.
- Experience negotiating competitive rates with airlines, hauliers and other suppliers.
- Permanent, full-time position.
