CAE USA is seeking an experienced FIAR Compliance Specialist with a strong background in Department of Defense (DoD) logistics operations to support DoD audit readiness, internal controls, and financial compliance efforts. The candidate will work directly with government stakeholders, auditors, and program teams to execute FIAR testing, document financial and logistics processes, support remediation planning, and ensure audit‑ready documentation across key business processes.
This role requires strong experience in federal financial management, DoD audit standards, and internal control assessments.

Support the CAE’s FIAR programs for property accountability, valuation, data cleansing, and APSR usage.
Perform internal control testing, walkthroughs, and documentation reviews.
Identify control gaps and support remediation planning.
Maintain audit‑ready process documentation, narratives, and risk/control matrices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal financial management requirements.
Support internal and external audits, including data calls and evidence preparation.
Provide FIAR training to process owners and functional teams.
Ensure compliance with security and handling requirements for sensitive logistics and financial data.
Conduct internal control testing for logistics processes including:
Supply chain management
Government‑furnished equipment, property, and material (GFE/GFP/GFM)
Inventory and materiel management
Equipment maintenance and accountability
Manage all USG‑owned assets within a government‑approved Accountable Property System of Record (APSR)
Assess compliance with Government property management (DFARS 252.245‑7001, 7002, 7003)
Review logistics transactions for accuracy, completeness, and auditability in systems such as Costpoint, and other non-DoD logistics ERPs and tools.
Support physical inventory observations, sample selections, population validations, and reconciliations.
Assist with corrective action plans for material weaknesses impacting logistics, property, or asset valuation.
2–5 years’ experience in DoD logistics, FIAR, internal controls, audit readiness, or property accountability.
Experience with inventory management, property records, and logistics documentation.
Strong understanding of internal controls over inventory, asset accountability, and supply chain processes.
Excellent communication skills and detail orientation.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
