ROCK SOLID JANITORIAL Inc. General Cleaner

Hourly Non-Exempt (Full and Part Time)

Reports to:

Team Leader/Area Supervisor/Area Team Leader

Performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas, and other building interiors.

• Sanitizing restrooms, empties trash, sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, and vacuum cleans and spot cleans carpets.
• Dusts and spot cleans walls and polishes stainless steel (e.g., water fountains, fixtures).
• Dust blinds, cabinets, furniture, partitions, and desk tops.
• May remove stains from surfaces such as rugs, walls, upholstery, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• May also sweep walkways. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Set up carts and Brut barrels; reline Brut barrels with small and large liners.
• Pull trash from offices, change liners, wipe desk tops as you pull trash.
• Vacuum all offices and close doors after areas are done (must be able to lift 45 lbs).
• Detail section each night; restroom cleaning; set cart up and replenish supplies; restock toilet tissue.
• Empty trash (including sanitary boxes); clean toilets, urinals, sinks; wipe walls; wipe stainless steel surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors; ensure areas are clean under fixtures; use air freshener.
• Restock cart for next day; maintain confidentiality; handle difficult situations and persons professionally.
• Follow directions; be reliable and responsible; mix cleaning solutions correctly; report to work on time and work scheduled shift.
