Primary focus includes proper and prompt cleaning of cabins, restrooms, campground bathhouses, and other park structures. Efficient turnover of overnight facilities before check-in time and ability to work with little to no direct supervision. Will be responsible for inventorying linens and cabin supplies to ensure they are available for the next guest. Performs the light maintenance and cleaning tasks necessary to operate state park facilities.
May be required to perform other park related duties during emergencies or on a non-recurrent basis.
- Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Requires standing, bending, and working in the outdoors exposed to the elements.
- Must be able to work well with other staff and park guests.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience working in a housekeeping or janitorial setting is preferred.
A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.

- Free camping outside of the Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day period in sites designed for up to six people.
- Free camping Sunday night through Thursday night (excluding the night prior to a holiday) from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
- Fifty percent discount on cabins (up to 3bedrooms) outside of Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, for a maximum of 14 nights. All reservations require a two-night minimum. Bunkhouses, camping cabins and yurts are included; one night yurt stays only receive a 25% discount.
