Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with strong data center project experience to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of mission-critical facilities in Virginia. This role requires a proactive leader with deep technical understanding and client-facing capabilities to manage a complex construction and engineering project from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end delivery of data center projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, budget, and timeline.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including design consultants, MEP specialists, contractors, and vendors.
- Oversee the planning, design, procurement, and construction phases while mitigating risks and managing changes.
- Ensure adherence to technical standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements specific to data centre environments.
- Drive progress meetings, project reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Monitor project budgets and cash flow in collaboration with the cost management team.
- Manage contract administration, procurement strategies, and contractor performance.
- Provide leadership in problem-solving, issue resolution, and team development.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and project transparency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in data center or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Proven track record of delivering fast-track, high-value projects in live or hyperscale data center environments.
- Familiarity with data center-specific systems: power redundancy (UPS, generators), cooling systems, white space requirements, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of international forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with international clients and contractors is preferred.
