Facilities Manager

Overview

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Richmond, VA location. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Lead and develop assigned facilities team including extended contracted team members.
• Implement Eaton standards and requirements in current and future facilities.
• Have responsibility for mentoring and recruiting highly skilled facilities talent.
• Manage all facilities and maintenance activities within the department including but not limited to procurement of equipment, preventative maintenance scheduling and planning, space planning, layout changes, and facility flow improvements.
• Work with external developers/GC to ensure the building meets Eaton EHS standards and requirements (bathrooms, entrances/exits, aisleways, racking, guarding, dock equipment, BAS, fire alarm, electrical infrastructure, roof guarding, etc.).
• Provide project updates and ensure Eaton guidelines are implemented on schedule to reduce risk, delays, and cost overruns.
• Review and ensure alignment with project specifications, such as:
  Project Outline Specifications, Basis of Design, and Eaton Design Guidelines.
• Track project budgets and ensure completion to budget (especially for new facility projects).
• Develop standards, procedures, and training as necessary and effectively communicate plans and changes to all levels of the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in operations, engineering, construction, facilities/maintenance or another related field

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited institution
• Experience with constructions standards and building code.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience working with Local and State officials to obtain permits
• Experience working with sub-contractors

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others
• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills
• Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
• Ability to effectively present results and recommendations to senior-level executive team
