We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal skills for a Deputy Director to assist the Director and work with the Leadership Team to manage and oversee the daily operations.

About This RoleIn this position, you will provide leadership, coordination, and oversight at the systems level, and carry out policies, directives, and procedures of the Board of County Supervisors, the Department of Criminal Justice Services, and the Supreme Court of Virginia. You will interact regularly with key stakeholders in the local criminal justice system and oversee mid-level supervisors in the agency. You will work to ensure that the agency is in compliance with all applicable State laws, Department of Criminal Justice Services and the Supreme Court of Virginia policies and procedures.
Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or G.E.D. and 8 years of experience related to community corrections, probation/pretrial services, including at least 2 years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience.
The Deputy Director must possess strong leadership and communication skills and is expected to demonstrate sound judgement. and have the ability to multitask.
Preferences- A bachelor’s degree or higher in criminology, psychology, social services, counseling, or a related field, and 8 years of experience related to community corrections, probation/pretrial services
- Experience in the supervision of clients in the community; case management, conducting risk assessments and making referrals upon identified needs, strong customer service skills, making presentations, working with individuals involved in the Criminal Justice System, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Progressive management and leadership experience, strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, comprehensive knowledge of best practices and evidence-based services, and must be person-centered

Hiring Salary Range$ to $165,000 Annually
