Executive Director – Assisted Living Facility

Location: Richmond, VA
Job Type: Full-Time

Join Our Team as an Executive Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director at Shalom Gardens Senior Living/Parkside Senior Living to lead operations at our Assisted Living Facility. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving occupancy growth, and fostering a culture of compassionate, resident-centered care.

The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader who can balance clinical quality, financial performance, staff development, and resident satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and management of the Assisted Living Facility.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and licensing requirements for Assisted Living communities.
  • Oversee daily operations including resident care, staffing, budgeting, and facility management
    .
  • Lead and develop department managers and staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
  • Maintain strong occupancy levels and community reputation through relationship building and community outreach.
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets, and cost controls
    .
  • Ensure exceptional resident satisfaction, safety, and quality of life
    .
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community partners.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, surveys, and regulatory inspections
    .
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Administrator/ALF license required (per state regulations).
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living.
  • Strong knowledge of state Assisted Living regulations and compliance standards
    .
  • Proven experience in staff leadership, operations management, and financial oversight
    .
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
