Account Director (12-Month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover)
Salary: £65,000 + quarterly bonus
Location: North London – hybrid working available
Our client, a fast‑paced, growing organisation, is seeking an experienced Account Director for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This senior leadership role offers the chance to manage a portfolio of high‑value, complex accounts while driving commercial growth and leading established account management teams.
Key Responsibilities- Own and develop relationships across a portfolio of strategic, high‑value accounts.
- Act as senior point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.
- Lead client strategy discussions and provide consultative guidance.
- Manage complex international accounts across multiple markets.
- Ensure consistently high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and increase account revenue.
- Take responsibility for account performance, revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop and implement account growth strategies.
- Lead commercial conversations with senior stakeholders and forecast revenue.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and balance client objectives with business goals.
- Coach, develop and lead account management teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Support career development, performance management, and engagement.
- Manage workflow priorities and escalation points.
- Ensure seamless delivery across client programmes and projects.
- Maintain best‑practice processes and reporting standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Proven experience as an Account Director, Senior Account Director, or a similar senior client services role.
- Background within media, marketing, communications, or consultancy.
- Experience managing large, complex, high‑value client accounts.
- Exposure to international markets and multi‑region account management.
- Strong commercial understanding of revenue growth and profitability.
- Previous experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to influence and engage at senior decision‑maker level.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused, and commercially driven approach.
- Available to start at short notice or immediately.
