Position: Fun Center Manager

Position Summary:

This position oversees all aspects of Big Cedar Lodge Fun Center. Including but not limited to laser tag, bowling, ropes course, and go-cart track other activities. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that the areas it oversees provide our guests with a safe and enjoyable experiences aligned with our Mission and Values drivingboth revenue generated and profitability.

Expected Contributions:
  • Protect and drive Big Cedar culture and values in all interactions
  • Ensure offerings are of the best quality, safe in nature, and create a new experience, educational opportunity or an added value to the guest vacation experience.
  • Provide leadership and direction to members of the management teams in areas of responsibility.
  • Strive to exceed the budgeted revenue expectations, within expense/par and payroll guidelines.
  • Partner with leadership to manage construction projects in areas of responsibility
  • Remain current in the industry through certification and involvement in appropriate organizations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Essential Functions:
  • Partner with the Ops Team to ensure continued integration between Attractions and Big Cedar Operations.
  • Hire, train, develop, coach and manage leaders and associates in operational units
  • Hold regular meetings with leadership to promote coordination, growth and communication
  • Routinely inspect areas of ownership to observe processes, guest experiences and to gather feedback from guests and associates
  • Gather and analyze guest feedback to address and correct issues and concerns
  • In partnership with Marketing; create programs, communications and branding that drive top line revenue growth
  • Ensure that labor and other costs are managed appropriately meeting or exceeding profit goals.
  • Work with Ownership, Big Cedar Leadership and Contractors to ensure that construction projects are completed on time to vision and budget
  • Create budgets and contribute to the Capital Expenditure process.
  • Administer resort policies fairly and consistently.
  • Utilizes an “open door” policy to address associate problems or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
  • 4-year degree in a related field preferred or 4 years’ experience in related field
  • 2+ years mid-level management experience
