As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor 1, you will lead and coordinate the activities to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of products or services. This role involves overseeing production processes, managing a team and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance.
Responsibilities- Value Stream Leadership:
Lead and supervise all activities within the assigned value stream, including production, quality, and maintenance. - Ensure the value stream operates in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Team Management:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of production, maintenance, and quality professionals. - Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, emphasizing accountability and continuous improvement.
- Production Planning And Scheduling:
Collaborate with the production planning team to develop and execute production schedules based on customer demand and inventory targets. - Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to meet production goals.
- Continuous Improvement:
Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the value stream. - Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
- Performance Monitoring:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the value stream and regularly monitor and analyze performance metrics. - Implement data-driven decision-making processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication. - Address and resolve issues that may impact the value stream's performance.
- Quality Assurance:
Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards. - Implement and maintain quality control procedures within the value stream.
- Resource Optimization:
Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands. - Collaborate with procurement to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. - Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting And Documentation:
Generate regular reports on key performance metrics and value stream performance. - Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and changes within the value stream.
Education/
Experience:
- High school diploma with 6+ years of production or manufacturing experience.
- Prior experience in a foreman or supervisory role.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, teams, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and system assembly methods.
- Proven communication and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
