As a Data Center Engineering Technician, you will maintain mission‑critical technology infrastructure across Amazon Web Services data centers. Your work directly supports 99.999% uptime for global digital experiences.

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs, decommissioning, preventative maintenance, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing for change management programs.
• Manage work requests to resolution and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On‑site support of contractors, sub‑contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with established procedures and local legislation.
• Work flexibly with shifts up to 12 hours, rotations, and on‑call duties as needed.
• Might support more than one location/site.

• Willingness and ability to work in conditions requiring regular lifting of up to 39 pounds, group lifts of 40+ pounds, and performed tasks on ladders.
• Ability to walk, use hand tools, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, twist, bend, and work above shoulder height.
• Work in an environment requiring ear protection.

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to work at alternative sites during training and until assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. After start, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security‑related requirements. The candidate must also opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.

• At least 2 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• At least 2 years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or higher.

• Experience working in a data center or mission‑critical facility (e.g., hospital, military, public safety).
• Associate or higher education in a related field.
• Experience with reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Hourly salary range: 37.00 to 65.00 USD (USA, VA, STAFFORD). The package includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
