Position Description
The press brake operator is responsible for setting up and operating a press brake machine to bend, shape, or cut metal sheets and plates according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring the produced parts meet quality standards by performing necessary adjustments and inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
Hours:
2nd Shift 3:00PM-11:30PM or 3rd Shift 11:00PM-7:30AM
Pay:
Starting Rate is $24.23/hour after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $26.23
Shift differential: 2nd shift $1.00/hr & 3rd shift $1.50/hr
Key Responsibilities- Work from verbal and/or written instructions from supervisor and engineers.
- Operator sets up and operates various CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print.
- Set-up other equipment as assigned.
- Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
- Read and use a variety of measuring instruments.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary.
- Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary.
- Must have ability to use mathematics in various phases of the job.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret prints, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.
