Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This role plays a key part in preventative maintenance scheduling, capital planning, equipment procurement, and collaboration with production and engineering teams. Oversight of contractors and vendors is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure maximum uptime and reliability of all facility and production equipment
- Supervise, assign, and coordinate daily tasks for maintenance personnel
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to support equipment performance and resolve technical issues
- Log hours and resource usage in L2L for assigned maintenance tasks
- Manage preventative maintenance tracking and documentation in compliance with AS9100 requirements
- Assist engineering with the design, installation, and startup of new equipment
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls work to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable codes
- Maintain and manage spare parts inventory for all facility equipment
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation for production and mill equipment
- Support project management activities, including:
- Defining project scope and resource requirements
- Establishing equipment specifications and control systems
- Overseeing installation, construction, and integration
- Manage and coordinate activities of external contractors and vendors
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5–10 years of related maintenance experience
- Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented, “can-do” attitude
- Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Working knowledge of automation systems and power electronics used in heavy manufacturing
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
- Experience with equipment selection, assembly, troubleshooting, and documentation
This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial equipment, noise, and varying conditions. The role may require flexible hours and hands‑on involvement in maintenance activities.
