We are seeking a reliable Industrial Painter to join our 2nd shift production team. The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing a variety of fabricated metal parts and assemblies in a fast-paced job shop environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work on multiple projects with varying specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and other surface preparation techniques.
  • Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer and customer specifications.
  • Apply coatings using spray guns, airless spray systems, and other industrial painting equipment.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality, coverage, and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and coating specifications.
  • Maintain paint booth equipment, spray guns, and related tools.
  • Monitor coating thickness and finish quality using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to paint application, hazardous materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with material handling and movement of parts as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an industrial painter, automotive painter, powder coater, or similar finishing role.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and industrial coating applications.
  • Ability to use spray painting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow detailed specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred
  • Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing job shop environment.
  • Familiarity with epoxy, polyurethane, and other industrial coating systems.
  • Experience using coating thickness gauges and quality inspection tools.
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Schedule
  • 2nd shift - M-Th, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
