Packaging and Line Operator

Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has partnered with a well known Pharmaceutical Company in the Northern Virginia Area that is seeking Packaging and Line Operators to work in their state of the art warehouse. This is a contract to hire position and is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with an amazing company. Must be able to work 7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11:30 pm Monday-Friday and be available to work overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Assists manufacturing with bagging, sorting, and inspection for bulk products
• Assists senior operators
• Management of bulk product from clean room to the packaging area, sorting/stacking/cleaning trays to be returned to clean room as needed
• Visual sorting and DE clumping of bulk product prior to packaging process
• Supplying hoppers with bottles, caps and other raw materials as needed
• Supply bottle conveyor for metal detection, capping, and induction sealing
• Identify, retrieve, and inspect pallets, apply case labels as needed.
• Proper communications protocol with all manufacturing, quality, and other operations staff to communicate and elevate product or equipment issues as needed
• Operate packaging equipment
• Follow proper safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Additional tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred
• Required to stand for long periods of time
• Must possess knowledge of basic hand tools
• Must possess a strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a clean room environment, requires wearing special gowning and protective clothing over head, face, hands, feet, and body.
• Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, headwear, contact lenses, nail polish, artificial nails, and any other loose or torn articles of clothing.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English proficiently
