Position Summary

Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.
Location: Dulles, VA – 100% onsite.
- Interpret detailed work instructions and complex engineering documentation, including drawings, schematics, wire lists, and diagrams.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install harnesses, electromechanical, and electronic components and assemblies.
- Support the integration of critical spaceflight hardware with a high level of attention to detail, safety, and quality.
- Adhere to ISO processes, cleanroom protocols, hazardous material handling, and operational procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently in harness manufacturing.
- Learn and perform new tasks such as splicing, torquing, wire routing, and connector mating.
- Communicate daily with work center management, engineers, and harness leads to report status and resolve issues.
- Work effectively in a diverse team and accept feedback from safety and quality personnel.
- Maintain organizational skills, adaptability, precision, and a proactive mindset.
- Support off‑shift work, weekends, overtime, and up to 25% domestic travel for launch campaigns.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top‑Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Knowledge of electrical measurements, voltage circuitry, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of clean room operations and spacecraft handling protocols.
- Ability to lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to perform repetitive motion tasks such as sanding or scrubbing.
- Flexibility to work 2nd/3rd shift schedules, weekends, and overtime.
- Active or current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI or SAP/SAR access.
- Knowledge of NASA‑STD‑8739.4 or IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 with Space Addendum.
- Experience with flight harness integration, terminations, and spacecraft processing.
- Certifications in flight wire harnessing, flight soldering, and epoxy bonding.
- Experience in aerospace satellite integration and harness installations.
- Base salary range: $47,200.00 – $78,600.00 (possible overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus).
