Doff Operator Glasgow VA 3rd Shift

• Visually and physically inspect the carpet coming from the dryer for defects in dyeing, drying, and miscellaneous.
• Record all production information (grade code, time, production yardage, print, remarks on defects) on an appropriate production form with pen or pencil.
• Make decisions on whether carpet needs re‑drying; if obvious, the Doffer/Inspector decides, if questionable, call the Crew leader for decision.
• Enter necessary department information into the computer.
• Read and physically reset the production meter at the end of each roll.
• Measure carpet width.
• Doff rolls of carpet.
• Cut samples off rolls.
• Attend any job‑related training as required by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
