Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift

3:00 pm - 11:30 pm or later as required.
What we’re looking for: We are looking for a Machine Operator I who will be responsible for fabricating products using proper tools and machines, meet production schedules, perform preventive maintenance, operate machinery, and related tools to complete assembly and parts fabrication to specifications.
Responsibilities- Fabricate assemblies / parts for products and changes to existing products per engineering documents and established production standards.
- Set-up, and lay out work using fixtures and guides to fabricate parts and assemblies.
- Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.
- Review finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs.
- Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required.
- Reject defective parts and material according to policy.
- Ensure safe, careful use, treatment, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Participate in and attend cross functional meetings as required.
- Complex troubleshooting.
- Participate in cross training of team members—train and be trained.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 years of production fabrication or comparable experience
- 1-2 years of fabrication/machining preferred
- May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs.).
- Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.

- Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
