Ameri Staff Employment & Staffing Solutions is currently seeking an Extruder Operator for a leading manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Benefits & Schedule for the Extruder Operator:- Full-time, 2nd Shift position (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Extrusion Equipment Operation
- Safely operate heavy industrial extrusion equipment used to cook and shape raw ingredients into dry pet food.
- Set up extrusion dies and adjust machine settings, including barrel temperatures, screw speed, and pressure, according to product specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and performance.
- Make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment jams and operational issues while minimizing downtime.
Production & Quality Control
- Monitor the consistency and appearance of extruded products throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure products meet established quality and production specifications.
- Communicate equipment or product concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel when necessary.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Safely lift materials weighing 50 pounds or more as required.
- Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established operating procedures.
