Lingo Staffing is now hiring Forklift Operators in the Powhatan, VA area to start ASAP!

Forklift Operators

Support daily production operations by safely moving lumber, materials, and finished products throughout the facility. This position will operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment while ensuring materials are properly staged and available to meet production needs. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Forklift training and certification will be provided in-house.

Pay

& Schedule
  • 1st Shift - $18.00/hour
    • Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
    • Overtime available, including Saturdays as needed
  • 2nd Shift - $19.50/hour
    • Monday-Thursday: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (10-hour Shifts)
    • Friday overtime available as needed
Job

Responsibilities & Requirements:
  • Must have 2 plus years of forklift, yard, lumber, or material handling experience.
  • Ability to obtain required forklift/fork truck certification through company-provided training
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently when needed
  • Safely move lumber, raw materials, and finished products throughout the facility and yard
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with company safety standards
  • Complete required training and practical testing to become a qualified equipment operator
  • Load, unload, stage, and organize lumber and building materials
  • Follow all operational procedures, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and work instructions
  • Ensure materials are properly placed and available to support production needs
  • Identify and recommend improvements that can make the workplace safer and more efficient
  • Ability to read and write in their primary language
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate dependable attendance, timely completion of work, and flexibility based on production needs
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Give and receive feedback in a professional and constructive manner
  • Perform additional production and material-handling duties as assigned
  • Ability to stand, squat, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation.
