  • Learn plant metrics, processes, and key operational levers
  • Establish working relationships with production management, equipment operators, and maintenance teams
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and key technical resource
  • Gather and statistically interpret process-parameter data against KPI metrics
  • Conduct root cause analysis and establish corrective actions
  • Identify critical equipment and opportunities to improve reliability and performance
  • Establish standard work for processes, including tooling and documentation
  • Support training and adherence to standard work
  • Execute improvement projects and measure their impact
  • Prepare project estimates and coordinate work to meet completion dates, technical specifications, and budgets
  • Train production operators on new processes, tooling, and machinery
  • Track project and process-improvement progress, records, and cost savings; report to business partners
  • Liaise with Marketing, Production, Maintenance, R&D, Quality, and EH&S
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Analyze production and business-process data to identify opportunities and implement sustainable solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize processes, optimize workflows, and support continuous-improvement culture through training, coaching, and performance monitoring
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (Ceramic, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
  • Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing or related industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Solid Works
  • Proficiency in Mini-Tab or other statistical software
  • Must be a United States citizen, permanent resident alien of the United States, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(3)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • Ability to analyze data and plan improvement activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes
  • Quality certification a plus
  • Ability to work an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday, with overtime and weekend work as needed
  • Ability to meet stated physical demands, including occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
  • Required to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs in the manufacturing area
