** On-site at our Prince George, VA facility.
** This role is to support a new factory in Prince George, VA (onsite) startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc.

Job Summary

The Production Planner II is responsible for developing and executing an achievable two-week production schedule to support customer demand, ensure material readiness, and meet on-time delivery goals. This role works closely with the Master Planner, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Inventory teams to optimize production flow and minimize disruptions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Release and manage planned orders to support production requirements.
  • Monitor material readiness and identify shortages through regular clean-to-start reviews.
  • Partner with Purchasing to expedite materials and resolve supply issues impacting production.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and the Master Planner to adjust schedules, optimize run quantities, and minimize changeovers.
  • Support on-time delivery through effective schedule management and production follow-up.
  • Coordinate readiness reviews for new product introductions and engineering changes.
  • Manage ECN, deviation, and purge processes.
  • Maintain planning-related data, documentation, and packout systems.
  • Ensure shipments are routed correctly and support sales order maintenance as required.
  • Develop a strong understanding of product flow and manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in regular meetings and cross-functional discussions to support production objectives.
  • Follow all company safety, security, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma required;
    Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of production planning, manufacturing planning, or scheduling in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP and ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of production planning and material planning processes.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Operations teams.
  • Production Planner experience, electronics manufacturing experience, understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow, and APICS/CPIM certification or inventory control experience are highly preferred.
Pay

The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
