- Assist in overseeing and managing all processing employees and tasks required to process products for market
- Manage processing operations across extraction, analytical lab, batching, production, shipping, quality, and receiving
- Create, review, and adhere to production schedules
- Study specifications and calculate processing requirements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor production schedules and manpower requirements
- Maintain strict inventory records for plant materials, chemicals, and laboratory equipment
- Document production through forms, reports, logs, and records
- Monitor and guide extraction, batching, laboratory, processing, and maintenance departments
- Develop effective relationships with departments throughout the company
- Pursue professional growth opportunities
- Ensure equitable treatment of all employees
- Report to the Director of State Operations
- Proper and safe handling of disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes
- Capabilities with computer systems, software, and hardware common to laboratories, recordkeeping procedures
- Thorough understanding of state and local medical marijuana laws and their application to operations
- Effective time-management practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Deep understanding of mechanics and functions to maintain climate control systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage through change and challenge the status quo
- Strong consultative and partnership skills
- Excellent computer skills, MS Office, and email proficiency
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 50 lbs to a minimum height of five feet and carry it at least 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Ability to work seated or standing for extended periods and perform climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand movements
- Ability to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE
- Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, including temperatures of 95 degrees or greater while wearing PPE
- Visual acuity sufficient for reading, computer work, and visual inspection in day and night/dark conditions
- Ability to communicate verbally with coworkers and vendors
- Availability to work 40+ hours weekly, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
Demonstrates expertise in managing processing operations, ensuring compliance with medical marijuana laws, and maintaining strict inventory records. Capable of fostering effective interdepartmental relationships while adhering to safety and handling protocols for hazardous materials.
