Overview
Systems, Marketing, & Communications Coordinator (PR & Mktg Spec III) – Northern Virginia Community College. This role supports student career development and employer engagement through management of career services technologies, strategic communications, marketing, and outreach activities.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the implementation, management, and maintenance of the Career Services Management System, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and user support.
- Promote Career Services programs, events, and resources through strategic outreach, marketing, and communication efforts to students, faculty, staff, and employer partners.
- Manage and maintain Career Services social media platforms (Instagram, Linked In, You Tube), creating and distributing the monthly Career Services newsletter and other promotional materials.
- Develop and disseminate marketing materials, promotional videos, website content, email communications, and event information through college media outlets and campus communication channels.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding career events, programs, and resources; host and facilitate information sessions, presentations, and workshops; respond professionally to inquiries.
- Coordinate and support special projects, grants, departmental initiatives, and additional assignments aligning with college priorities and student success goals.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned, including assistance to the agency or state government during emergencies.
Qualifications- KSAs:
Ability to coordinate management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Career Services Management System; implement marketing and communication tools; create, develop, and disseminate marketing and communication materials; collaborate with stakeholders; oral and written communication skills; customer service and professional response skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities; strong attention to detail; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; manage multiple priorities and deadlines. - Minimum work experience:
Project/program/event communications coordination; career services systems, CRM or similar database management and troubleshooting; marketing and outreach material development (email campaigns, newsletters, website content, social media, digital communications); photography, video creation and editing; stakeholder engagement experience. - Additional considerations:
Experience with Handshake career management system; experience with grant applications, data collection and implementation.
Occasional travel between NOVA campuses and regionally as needed.
