Overview
VISTA College Connection and Resource Specialist supports Salvation Army in partnering with students needing additional food and housing assistance as they attend college. Working with Fairfax staff, you will become a community resource expert on student needs in the local community, emphasizing how existing Salvation Army services and partners can benefit students facing expenses. This role is suitable for individuals interested in community outreach, resource management, and increasing accessibility to continuing education.

In the DC Metro Area, we serve an average of 70,000 people annually through housing for young mothers, meal programs, youth and music activities, substance abuse treatment, rent and utility assistance, and more. We value programs that expand personal and professional horizons, such as our internship program and Ameri Corps VISTA.
