Bay Aging Supportive Housing Systems VISTA (hybrid)

The Virginia Capacity Building Project supports Serve Virginia and their partners in alleviating the effects of poverty through organizational capacity building. While our project covers a wide range of issue areas, from substance use disorder to educational opportunities, all of our members are dedicated to increasing the impact and reach of volunteerism and to pursuing healthy futures for all Virginians. The efforts of our Ameri Corps members will help us build towards a healthier, happier, and stronger Commonwealth.

Member Duties : Serve your community and develop your professional skills through a year of service with Ameri Corps VISTA! In this hybrid position, the Bay aging Supportive Housing Systems VISTA will build capacity by researching existing models for and developing improved tenant selection and supportive housing models for age- and income-restricted rental housing operations. The Member will do so by redeveloping and improving the Tenant Selection Plan, Homelessness and Veterans preference program, case management and resident services coordination system, and Permanent Supportive Housing policies.

The right fit for this position will be a highly motivated individual with an interest in age- and income-restricted service-enriched rental housing, homelessness response system improvement, data and policy analysis, and community service.
