QA/SDC/IP Nurse (RN)

Shalom Gardens Health & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to serve in a dynamic dual role as Quality Assurance (QA), Staff Development Coordinator (SDC), and Infection Preventionist (IP). This leadership position plays a critical role in maintaining clinical excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the ongoing education and development of our nursing team.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance (QA)- Monitor and analyze clinical outcomes, quality indicators, and performance metrics
- Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CMS, state, and facility policies)
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct orientation for new hires
- Develop and deliver ongoing education and in-service training programs
- Maintain training records and ensure staff meet competency requirements
- Support clinical skill development and professional growth of nursing staff
- Oversee the facility’s infection prevention and control program
- Track, trend, and report infections in accordance with CDC and CMS guidelines
- Educate staff on infection control practices and protocols
- Lead infection control audits and implement prevention strategies
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (long-term care/SNF experience preferred)
- Experience in infection prevention, staff education, or quality assurance strongly preferred
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, QAPI, and infection control standards
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and implement effective process improvements
