Infection Preventionist (RN) oversees staff education, onboarding, competency validation, and leads the center’s Infection Prevention and Control Program to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and conduct orientation for new employees
- Support onboarding and competency validation for Nurses and CNAs
- Coordinate and maintain annual and ongoing nursing competencies
- Conduct daily patient care rounds to assess staff education and clinical needs
- Develop and implement non-eLearning annual education plans
- Lead and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program
- Active RN license in Virginia (good standing)
- Minimum 3 years of long-term care experience, including nursing leadership
- Strong clinical skills, including IV therapy
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- Life Insurance, HSA with employer match
